Pedro Páramo is a novel written by Juan Rulfo in 1955.
Juan Rulfo was born in 1917 and grew in Jalisco, Mexico. He was a novelist, storyteller, photographer and editor, recognized for their tales like "El llano en llamas" and his first tale that made him.
Juan Rulfo's novels are about war, dispossession and orphanhood in a country setting.
There is a film with the same name that the book and it was directed by Carlos Velo in 1967 and he won three Ariel's awards for the best photography, the best scenography and the best environment .
Carlos Velo was a spanish filmmaker, excited by the spanish civil war to Mexico, where he become in a famous on the mexican cinema.
He has been directed other films like "El pueblo maya", "Los que sí y los que no", "Castillos en castilla", etc.

Juan Preciado is the son of Pedro Páramo and Dolores Preciado, when his mother dies, he decides to fulfill the promise of looking for his father in the town of Cómala and demanding his own.
And when Juan Preciado arrives, he finds an abadoned and mysterious town where voices and strange murmurs are heard...
You definitely need to read the book or watch the movie, to know what happens next.
